Pippa Middleton’s 2011 Love Life in the Spotlight

Besides being the most outstanding beauty in London, Pippa Middleton has perfect buns.  The question is who will Pippa date in 2012?

Pippa Middleton, 27, spent 2011 almost as constantly on camera as her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge. Her stock as the “sexy sister” with the shapely bum went up, but her personal life may have taken a downturn, in spite of the classy names and impressive titles of the guys she dated. Long-term beau Alex Loudon said he “loved her” but he could not deal with the “circus” surrounding Pippa Middleton’s life—so he bailed, leaving her sad and alone. Or maybe not.

Pippa’s year in romance starts with that April walk with Prince Harry—him in his elegant red uniform and her in the memorable white bridesmaid dress, at the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The chemistry crackled, but the match—to a Prince of her own— never went anywhere.

Then Alex Loudon appeared on the scene, and celeb-watchers learned the twFile:Pippa Middleton Prince Philip.jpgo were practically engaged. But nothing happened. Later in May, Pippa Middleton went to Spain with George Percy—who will someday be a Duke. In June, Pippa competed in a relay triathlon, but none of her guys came to watch.

Rumors flew in June, as Pippa attended several weddings alone. George Percy was frequently around, even until the wee hours of the morning. But Wimbledon, some soccer matches, and even a boxing event put Alex back in the picture. Meanwhile, Charlie Astor appeared on the fringes. Then Alex and Pippa Middleton had a fight. Out loud. In public. He made the famous “circus” speech and bowed out again.

Pippa signed a deal to write a book, for more than half a million dollars. She saw George again, and even dated his roommate, J.J. Jardine-Paterson. But nothing clicked. So Pippa, having started the year at the top of the dating game, has no regular beau at the end. Stay tuned for New year’s Eve.
